Grey Mountains

The Grey Mountians is in the north of the three Western Provinces.

The captial of the Grey Mountains is Greyhold and stands in the middle of the province, high on top of the famous Giant Skull Rock.

Inhabitants

Most of the inhabitants of the Grey Mountains are dwarfs. Humans and half-orcs are uncommon but generaly not liked. All other races are often and openly discriminated, however they aren't outlawed by any means.

Special Charateristics

No province is as well known for it's mines and riches as the grey mountains, home to the mineral rich mountains, deep caverns, and great gemstones. The dwarven hearths have gained much of their wealth over the years of exploiting these mountains, but recently things have changed. Mining has gotten more dangerous and less profitable for the past few years, leading to tention between the dwarven hearths. 

Reign and social status

The Landlord of the Grey Mountains is Dreawin Khort, an old dwarf whose family has been in power for over two hundred years. He's known for his short temper and rather large posture.

The Grey Mountains are home to many families and guilds, each with a different rank. The higher the rank, the more important they are and the more influence they have. These guilds and families are known has hearths.

- Low ranking hearth rarely have a place in the council and often spend their days in the mines or farmers.

- Averagely ranked hearths are sometimes present at the landlord council. They are mostly craftsmen or soldiers.

- High ranking hearths usualy have one or two people in the landlord's council. They are also often specialty-craftsmen, enchanters or owners of large buisnesses.
