Factions
Char'attar counts a total of three common factions.

The EAstern nomads
Living in caravans of various sizes, most nomads live as traders, surviving on whatever they earn from their travels. Some choose the adventuring life, delving in old ruines for riches and artifacts to sell. Those struck by misfortune seek out a bandit life, exploiting the many traderoutes. On the other hand, skilled fighters sell the services to protect caravans from said bandits. All with all it's a rough life.
People of all kinds and races can be found in the desolate sands of the desert. Though unsurprisingly dwarfs and fae seem to mostly absent.
The WEstlanders
The Westlander faction consists of the three Western Provinces. These provinces are the main source for natural food and recourses.
Westlanders are mainly humans, dwarfs or races that closely resemble humans. There is a reasonable amount of racisim towards other races that aren't native to their lands.
Dwarfs and humans see each other as equal, yet there is still is a rivaly between them. The high ranking dwarven hearths* of the Grey Mountains and royal families of the humans have always had a mutual hate for each other.

The Pearl Fae
The inhabitants of the pearl islands do not venture far from their homelands, the land itself fights to keep out unwanted guests. There is little reason for them to leave their home, especially with all the evils skulking the lands.
There is a strong bond between the inhabiants of the pearl islands and the creatures of the feywild. The people living here even seeing themselves as guardians of sorts.
Trade with the nomads has led to a peace between the nation of Sa'avitor and the pearl islands, though the general distrust of the westlanders has made peace with them impossible for now.
